The Fernhurst Centre is both a Community Centre and Internet Cafe run and managed entirely by volunteers. It has lots to offer including:
A varied refreshment menu including Cappuccino - Latte - Cafetiere - Fruit Teas etc
Broadband internet, WI-Fi - no booking required
All computers have a wide range of software
A3 colour printer
Laminating facilty
A range of courses both IT and leisure
Help Point - free telephone direct to Council Offices to report problems or request assistance.
Don't forget - Broadband usage is Free after Three! Printing charges will still be made.

Have you recently bought an iPad and would like a little help - we have a new course 'An Introduction to using your iPad' setting up - connecting to WI Fi and much more besides. Two 2 hour sessions at £20. The next course is scheduled to start 8 and 15 May - This session now full but we have another as above in the evening of 21 and 28 May and also Wednesday book now to secure your place on this popular course.
An Introduction to Web Design: If you would like your own website but have been put off by the difficulty and/or cost? This course is designed to introduce you to the steps necessary to design and upload your own website. We use ‘Moonfruit.com’ who provide a relatively simple route to designing and hosting your own website free of charge. The next course is to be held on Thursday 13th and 20th June - 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm at a cost of £25.

Brand New Session! Pad or PC: Are you looking to buy a new computer, laptop, tablet, iPad, Kindle, should you have a touch screen, a matte screen or a glossy screen or maybe you want to upgrade to fibre optics. Yes the possibilities are endless and what does all that jargon mean. We hope to be able to unravel it for you with a session on Wednesday 22 May 10 am-12 noon £10. We can’t tell you what to buy but we hope that the choices will be made clearer and we will help you to make the right choice.
Managing your photos Digital cameras are great but are all your photos organised on to your computer so that it’s easy to access any photo you wish to view? If not, this course will show you how to file and sort your photos for easy retrieval. A 2 hour session on Friday 24 May - 1 pm - 3 pm £10.
