Poetry PleaseRegistered Charity number 1097445 A friendly, relaxed group who enjoy reading poetry. The group consists of a maximum of ten people plus two informal leaders and meets on the 3rd Friday of each month in the Fernhurst Centre. The Group is using the BBC book ‘The Nation’s Favourite’ which is has a Foreword by Griff Rhys Jones. The book is easily available from local bookshops, online from Amazon where prices start at 1p plus postage or new copies online from Waterstones from £5.59 with free delivery. This anthology of 100 poems takes us from John Donne to Carol Ann Duffy – something old and new with plenty in-between.
