The Fernhurst Centre is both a Community Centre and Internet Cafe run and managed entirely by volunteers. It has lots to offer including:
A varied refreshment menu including Cappuccino - Latte - Cafetiere - Fruit Teas etc
Broadband internet, WI-Fi - no booking required
All computers have a wide range of software
A3 colour printer
Laminating facilty
A range of courses both IT and leisure
Help Point - free telephone direct to Council Offices to report problems or request assistance.
Don't forget - Broadband usage is Free after Three! Printing charges will still be made.

Top Tips: when using Word ….OK - So you use WORD but.... could you use it more effectively and have more fun with it? There are a mass of shortcuts and quick methods that will help you to get more out of your Word Processing and eliminate some of those niggly frustrations. Enrol on this one week course and learn some simple helpful hints to enhance your Word -processing skills. A two hour session to be held on 15 May from 10 am - 12 noon. £10.
Top Tips for your Laptop: Bring along your laptop and make it work for you. Learn how to personalise the display, use external devices, install and uninstall programmes. Shortcuts adding icons to the desktop and much more besides. 13 June at 2 pm - 4 pm £10.

Need a bit of exercise - why not join our Walking Group. Walks are held on a monthly basis (3rd Friday of the month) from the Fernhurst Centre and provide the opportunity to take regular exercise, enjoy the local countryside and meet new people. Click here for photographs and more information
Police 'Beat'Surgery - Meet your local PCSO Heidi Hay 24 May from 10 am - 12 noon in the Centre - Heidi and her colleague will be there to help you with any queries / worries you might have.
BT Community Connections Award - We are very proud that the Fernhurst Centre has been selected as the South East winner for BT Community Connections Plus Award and will receive a cheque for £1,000 for the excellent support the Centre has provided to help local people get online.



Want to try something different? Come and join us in the Fernhurst Centre for a Jewellery workshop from ‘My Beadelicious’. Make a suede lariat with hanging beads and embellishments. If you have been to our workshops before this is the one for you it will bring in some of the techniques you have learnt plus some new ones and of course you go away with a very stylish lariat in colours of your choice. New Workshop on Tuesday 26 June at 9.45 am - 11.45 am price £25 + £3 registration.
New to Jewellery making? Create a gorgeous crystal cluster necklace in colours of your choice. You will be provided with stunning beads, crystals and findings and use of relevant tools so that you can create your own fabulous necklace. You’ll receive all the help you need - from design to creation. New Workshop on Tuesday 26 June at 1.15 pm - 3.15 pm price £22 + £3 registration.
