The Fernhurst Centre Re-Opens in Style!

There was a strong feeling of community spirit on Saturday 22 October as the Fernhurst Centre, celebrated its formal reopening after a recent major refurbishment. The young, in the form of local Fernhurst scouts, and the young at heart came together to support this special local centre, which for the past 13 years has provided a variety of IT and other courses and offers a wide range of activities along with a warm and friendly welcome in its coffee shop. Later, the Centre’s thirteen years of successful activity were celebrated when Heather Bicknell, Chair of the Parish Council, cut into a fine carrot cake made by local baker Natacha Charlez, whose Piece of Heaven bakery based in Fernhurst supplies both the Centre and  Crossways Fruiterers opposite with divine cakes of all kinds.
